Translating the name of an object
All objects you create in DigDash — data models, flows, categories, styles, variables, dimensions, measures, hierarchies, navigation paths, targets, target zones, descriptions, formats, notifications, phrases, icons, dashboard pages... — can be translated into different languages.
Translations are usually added directly at the element's properties level by clicking the Multi-language edition button
.
In some cases, this button is available in a toolbar (in which case, you must first select the object).

To translate an object:
Click the Multi-language edition button
.In the displayed box, select the tab for the language to translate.
Enter the translation in the Display name field.
In the Synonyms field, you can enter a synonym for the translation. Synonyms are used notably for natural language queries or in DigDash Agent. See the Using synonyms page for more details.
If the object has a description, it can be translated in the Description field.
Check the Use global dictionary box if you want the element's translation to apply to all identical elements. The translation will be added to the dictionary and will therefore be editable from the translation manager. See the Translation manager page for more details.
If the box is not checked, the translation will be specific to the object.
Click OK.
