DigDash Enterprise allows you to schedule automatic data refreshes.

Prerequisites

For the scheduling to work:

  • the scheduler must be running: go to the Configuration -> Server Statuspage and check the scheduler’s status. If it is stopped, click on 1782805054817-359.png.

  • the scheduler user must be specified (the same as the supervisor). Initialisation must be carried out via the Configuration > Server Settings > Additional Settings > Schedules page. See the Schedules page for further details.

Scheduling refreshes

Refresh schedules can be set at three levels:

  • Wallet
  • Information flow
  • Data model

By default, refreshes use the Default Scheduleautomatic triggering every day at 8 pm.
You can change the settings for this default schedule in the Refresh Manager : the new settings will apply to any new roles created thereafter (they will not apply to existing roles), or create a new schedule.

For flows

For a wallet or flow, scheduling is carried out via the properties side panel under the Flows tab: select the wallet or flow from the list and go to the Scheduling tab in the side panel.

By default, flows are refreshed and synchronised at the same time as the information wallet. You can untick the ‘With  wallet’ box and set a different schedule.

💡 You can also change the schedule for a selection of flows: right-click on the multi-selection and then select ‘Edit flows’. The ‘Schedule  tab is available in the ‘Edit flows’ box .

When the wallet (root of the tree structure) is selected, the interface distinguishes between the schedule for the wallet itself and the schedules for the flows contained within the wallet.
In the ‘Schedule’ section, all flows schedules are selected. You can change the schedule for all flows.

For data models

For a data model, scheduling is carried out via the Refresh tab in the data model configuration window.

For a selection of data models, scheduling is carried out via the ‘Configure multiple data models’ dialog box, which is displayed by right-clicking and selecting ‘Edit…’ from the context menu.

  5. Click OK.
➡ The schedule is added to the list of schedules.

To edit a refresh schedule, select it, click the Editer and change the settings as required.
