Automatic refresh (scheduling)
Automatic Refresh allows data to be refreshed according to a schedule.
First, the server determines whether the flows need to be refreshed (based on their scheduled dates). If a flow needs to be refreshed, the scheduler determines whether the underlying data model also needs to be refreshed (based on its scheduled date).
If this model uses other data models (joins, unions, transformations, etc.), these are also refreshed if necessary (again based on their scheduled dates).

To configure automatic refresh:
- In the ‘Every’ field, select a frequency in minutes, hours, days, weeks or months.
- If you select a weekly frequency, tick one or more days of the week.

- If you select a monthly frequency, two options are available:
- Select Last, First, Second, Third or Fourth, then Day or a day of the week.

- Select ‘Day’ and then enter the day of the month (between 1 and 31).
- Select Last, First, Second, Third or Fourth, then Day or a day of the week.
- If you select a weekly frequency, tick one or more days of the week.
- To the right of ‘From’, select the start date and time for the schedule.
Example of a schedule:
Two data flows, ‘end-of-month data’ and ‘daily data’, use the same data model. This data model is refreshed daily. The first flow, ‘end-of-month data’, is refreshed every month, and the second flow, ‘daily data’, is refreshed every day.
