Select the parameters of the LDAP or Active Directory server to which you wish to connect.

LDAP server

  1. Type the server address in the Server URL field
  2. In the Port field, enter the TCP port for the connection. The default is port 11389.
  3. In the Administrator login field, enter the administrator ID for your LDAP server. By default, this is the username used to connect to the Apache Directory Studio server supplied with DigDash Enterprise. Enter this administrator's password in the Password field.
  4. The DigDash reserved attribute field indicates the field that will be used in LDAP to store information required by DigDash Enterprise (user email address, password, etc.). This field must be present on your LDAP server but must not be used (which is often the case for the description field, the default value for this field).
  5. Check Ignore sub-trees for user login to avoid exploring sub-trees.
  6. Check  One level search (default is sub trees search) to avoid searching all subtrees.
  7. The Attribute for user's entity allows you to specify a standard LDAP attribute that will be used to segment users into entities (default: Department). See the Delegate user administration page for more details.

When a user is created, it inherits the entity of the administrator who created it.

  1. Click Validate to accept the changes you have made.
  2. If you wish to modify the LDAP queries, click the LDAP Queries link and modify the desired requests.
