Setting up access to Business Objects XI

This document describes how to access Business Objects XI data sources (.wid or .rep documents) from DigDash Enterprise.
It is a prerequisite for connecting to a Business Objects XI portal. See the Connecting to a Business Objects XI Portal for more details.

Preparing the Business Objects server

To prepare the Business Objects server:

  1. Extract the archive <DigDash Enterprise installation directory>/add-ons/businessobjects/ddbobridge.zip to <Program Files>/BusinessObjects/Tomcat/webapps/ddobridge.
  2. Copy and paste the JAR files depending on the version of XI.
    • If the version of XI is XI R2: Copy the JAR files found in <Program Files>/Business Objects/Tomcat/webapps/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/WEB-INF/lib to <Program Files>/Business Objects/Tomcat/webapps/ddbobridge/WEB-INF/lib
    • If the version of XI is XI 3: Copy the JAR files located in <Program Files>/Business Objects/Tomcat/webapps/AnalyticalReporting/WEB-INF/lib to <Program Files>/Business Objects/Tomcat/webapps/ddbobridge/WEB-INF/lib
    • If the version of XI is XI 4: Copy the JAR files located in <Program Files>/Business Objects/Tomcat/webapps/dswsbobje/WEB-INF/lib to <Program Files>/Business Objects/Tomcat/webapps/ddbobridge/WEB-INF/lib
  3. Restart the Business Objects server (Tomcat).

💡 Removing the module

In the event that you wish to uninstall the DDBOBridge module, simply delete (or archive) the files located in :

[BO directory]/Tomcat/webapps/ddbobridge.
