If you are using a comments database, configure access to it here:

  1. Enter the URL of the database.
  2. Enter the User and Password defined when the database was created.
  3. Set the options. See the table below for a detailed description.
  4. Click Test to check that the database connection works.
  5. Click Save to confirm.

This solution secures access to the comments database.

The following parameters can be used to archive/delete comments or restrict access to comments as described below.

Logical deletion of comments

If this option is ticked, when the user deletes a comment, it is no longer visible in the dashboard but remains in the database.

The comment then has a "Deleted" status and can be recovered, if necessary, by connecting to the database.

Archive comments until

Enter a date in the form DD/MM/YYYY before which you wish to archive the comments.

Archived comments are no longer visible in the dashboard but are kept in the database with the status "Archived".

Delete comments until

Enter a date in the form DD/MM/YYYY before which you wish to delete comments.

Delete user commentsEnter the user ID from which you wish to delete comments.
Comment security

Enter one or more user parameters to restrict access to comments. For example, ${user.param1}. Only users sharing this parameter will have access to comments.

Multi-value separator for comment securityIf the user parameter has several possible values, you can enter a separator to distinguish these values.
For example, a slash (val1/val2) or a comma (val1,val2).
All" security value for commentsYou can enter a value to be used to display all comments. This value will allow the user to see all views, regardless of the security in place.
For example, .* or All. Users with this user parameter value will be able to see all comments.
Category nIcon defined for each comment category.
