Configuring columns

The Columns tab is used to configure the columns in the data model.
The different columns in the data model are listed here, along with their characteristics.
Columns can be of either Dimension or Measure type. The type is easily identified by the icon preceding the column identifier:

The panel on the right displays the configuration information for the column selected in the list.
The toolbar above the table lets you search for columns and provides access to various functions.
In particular, you can :
- Modify column parameters: type, name, aggregation function, trend, format, default member sorting, time zone, display properties, etc.
- Create a hierarchy for one or more columns
- Create an objective for a measure
- Create a new measure
- Define the Advanced options for dimensions and measurements
Toolbar
 | Used to edit a calculated measurement. |

 | Used to delete the selected column. Columns from the source cannot be deleted. |
 | Used to unfold or fold the tree structure when using categories in flat view mode. |
 | Displays the scope of use of the dimension or measure. See page Dependency analysis page for more details. |
